Ever wanted to know more about Linkara? Ever wondered what his life was like outside of the internet, and bad comic burning? Well keep hoping. For now, enjoy this interview.

Me: When did you get your start in doing things like art, writing, video making, etc.?

Linkara: See, I've got different periods for each.  Writing I've been doing since I was a little kid, coming up with these stupid little Star Trek stories for the longest time.  This eventually moved up to fanfiction, leading onto the self-published books, then the comics and text reviews.
For art, I started it around the time I began my webcomic, though while I've improved, it's taken a back seat to the writing and the video parts.
The video reviews I started up about, oh, nine or so months ago.  I made an entry for the Ask That Guy contest and I enjoyed it so much that I decided to do something with my reviews.

Me: Does anything in particular influence or inspire the way you do things in those fields?

Linkara: Nothing immediately comes to mind, but whenever I'm writing a story, I tend to write as if I was describing what was on a TV screen - the focus of the shot, the dialogue spoken, and the descriptions are meant to evoke specific mental images.
Now as for the videos, I'm not sure what does inspire me in those regards, though it helps if I've just watched some of the other talents on ThatGuyWithTheGlasses.

Me: Were you nervous when you started putting your work online?

Linkara: A little, but not that much.  I figured if it was good, it would catch on.  If it sucked, well I was no worse off than when I started and I could always improve.

Me: Why did you start doing comic reviews?

Linkara: Pyramid Scheme.  At the time, I was writing a self-published book series called Angel Armor.  That in turn led me to a webcomic that would promote the books.  That in turn led me to start writing comic book reviews as in the style of the Agony Booth that might get some attention that woudl lead to the webcomic and lead to the books thus leading to profit.  My schemes are weird like that.

Me: Are you surprised at how your work has become so popular?

Linkara: Quite a bit, actually!  Sure, it was nice getting a huge fan viewing when the first video hit TGWTG, but I'm surprised by the sheer number of non-comic fans that have taken to the show.  It keeps me on my toes, especially when I end up needing to explain the backstory of a character or event.

Me: Who would you say is your favorite comic book hero/villain?

Linkara: Hero?  Danny Chase.  Don't really have a favorite villain, sorry to say.

Me: What's your personal favorite hobby?

Linkara: I'd say split between reading comics and watching internet videos.  Especially with the video stuff, I love getting educated in video games.  There's so much stuff that I can remember from commercials or whatever but never knew anything about the products they were advertising.

Me: Do you have any big plans for the future?

Linkara: Outside of my own comics and the eventual relaunch of my books?  Not really.  However, fans of my show should be happy to know that I have some story-arcs planned in-show, including the recently shown Mechakara.  And yeah, robot Linkara is named Mechakara.

Me: Are we no strangers to love?

Linkara: What's love got to do, got to do with it?

Me: Anything you'd like to say to the readers?

Linkara: Long live the Revolution, live long and prosper, and keep watching the skies!
...And by skies, I mean my videos.

When someone laughs, you laugh.
When someone falls, you fall.
When your worst enemy is burnt by a dragon flame, you fall and laugh.
